What is OSB or Oriented Strand Board?

It is a synthetic wood board sheet. The origin of "OSB"---the scientific name is Oriented Strand Board (OSB), is a new type of board that comes from Europe and developed rapidly internationally in the 1970s and 1980s.

OSB board is made of small diameter wood, thinning wood, and wood core. It is processed into long shavings (generally 40-100mm long, 5-20 mm wide, and 0.3-0.7 mm thick) through special equipment. It is deoiled and dried. A kind of directional structural plate made by , gluing, directional paving, hot pressing and other processes.Its surface flakes are arranged longitudinally, and the core flakes are arranged transversely. This criss-cross arrangement reorganizes the wood texture structure and completely eliminates the impact of wood internal stress on processing, making it extraordinary easy to process and moisture-proof. Because OSB has a directional structure inside, there are no joints, no gaps, and no cracks. It has good overall uniformity and extremely high internal bonding strength. Therefore, both the center and the edges have super nail-holding capabilities that ordinary boards cannot match.

1.Health and Environmental Protection

MDI formaldehyde-free ecological glue, no formaldehyde added. China Foryou OSB3 uses MDI formaldehyde-free ecological glue to replace the urea-formaldehyde resin glue of ordinary boards.The finished product is better than the national green environmental standards, comparable to natural wood, and meets people's needs for environmental protection and healthy living.The formaldehyde emission is less than 0.025mg/m³.

The material selection is pure and free of impurities. The raw material of Foryou OSB3 is made from New Zealand radiata pine. After peeling, it does not contain impurities that are easily corruptible such as bark.The finished OSB3 is fragrant and has no peculiar smell.

Foryou OSB3 flakes are dried at low temperatures, and the MDI ecological glue used is insoluble in water.It does not delamination when exposed to water. Under the special assembly process and high pressure, it has high strength and Hardness, moisture-proof properties and increased resistance to humid conditions.

 

4.Excellent nail-holding strength

MDI ecological glue reacts chemically with wood molecules to bond the board efficiently and has excellent nail-holding strength and deformation resistance.

Under the influence of the criss-cross paving arrangement structure and continuous high temperature and high pressure, there is no crack inside the board.The joints have no gaps or cracks, the overall uniformity is very good, and the internal bonding strength is extremely high.
